- Working Group Lead: Angela Corona, Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida
- Working Group Objective: Evaluate existing nutrition education resources for patients, developing a curated set of evidence based and culturally appropriate materials that would benefit patients and healthcare practitioners in Central Florida.
Progress Updates
- The Nutrition Education working group has been focusing on identifying nutrition education classes in the community. They completed a survey of organizations working in nutrition education and received some responses.
- There were challenges in identifying who is offering NE classes and curating a comprehensive list. This led to greater discussions around resource directories/identification.
Next Steps
- The group is working on a strategy to combine information in a cohesive way. The working group is also diving deeper into conversations around resource directories and referral platforms.
